De Los Santos Traded

After the game today, the Rays announced that left-handed pitching prospect Frank De Los Santos had been traded to the Chicago White Sox for a player to be named later or cash considerations. The move was necessary in order to free up a roster spot, presumably for Jesse Crain but nothing has been made official. The team has also not yet named the starter for Sunday’s game. Enny Romero volunteered on to make the start on Twitter, and is already on the 40-man roster. J.D. Martin was starting in Durham and would be available but is not on the 40-man roster. If Crain is not ready to return, the vacant spot could go to Martin. .
