Game #118 Lineups and Outlook
Had a little time while on vacation so here’s a quick preview for tonight’s game.
The Rays look like a pretty solid favorite today, though I think Vegas is taking it too far. I’d probably stay away from the Rays today, and that’s probably good advice for Blake Snell when it comes to Won’t Myers. The lad represents one of two lineup threats today (along with Blash) that can really hurt Snell and the Rays. The Rays face many, many good matchups when it comes to former back of the rotation stalwart Edwin Jackson. Admittedly, Jackson has pitched better than expected in his most recent attempt at being a Major League Baseball starting pitcher, but I can’t shake the thought that he’s just waiting to erupt. Here’s hoping the Rays mash on him today.
Forsythe was a late scratch due to back spasms so I’d expect the Rays to have a short bench tonight. The other guys, all righties, don’t represent much of a threat to their pitching, though Beckham can hit a lefty.
