Game #74 Lineups and Outlook
The outlook, well, it’s bleak. Ten in a row on the wrong side of the ledger will do that. Go back past the death rattle and your Tampa Bay Rays are now 11-23 over their last 34 games. Run a .324 win percentage for a week and it’s not such a bad thing, but do it for a month and look the f out, cellar. The Rays have crashed through into the sub-basement to now have the sixth worst record in the league. It should be a smooth transition into top-five pick land once the team spins off Steve Pearce and Logan Morrison. Let it begin.
The system and the gamblers are pretty much in agreement on this one as each sees the Orioles as a solid favorite. A hot day in Baltimore with Drew Smyly on the mound means whatever they do square up is probably gone off the bat. It shouldn’t matter much even if it doesn’t leave the yard with this cast of misfits in the outfield.
The bullpen is a disaster. That is all. Spin off what won’t be here next year and let’s really get this FIRE… sale going.
