Game #85 Lineups and Outlook
Sorry for the delay on this. I got caught up in the previous post from today, which you should read. Moving from the macro to the micro we find that Hector Santiago will be going for the Angels today against the Rays phenom Blake Snell.
The Rays hit lefties pretty well and that’s the arm that Santiago uses so I see several Rays on tap for a solid day. Snell should face trouble from Trout and his schoolyard mates, but the bottom should be relatively easy for him. He’ll need to throw more strikes early in the count so that he can devastate later, but I love watching the evolution of Snell as he acclimates to the Show. He should be here for awhile.
The bullpens remain the same and the Angels only flipped catchers, but the Rays will be doing a full line change with their own bench. This will give them a couple of cromulent lefty hitters for the late innings, but few options if looking for a defensive upgrade.
