Rays Announce ALDS Roster

The Rays have announced their ALDS roster, and it looks a lot like the Wild Card Game edition.

The differences are the addition of two pitchers, David Price and Jeremy Hellickson, and subtraction of two position players, Chris Gimenez and Kevin Kiermaier. Now the question is whether the Rays will start Hellickson in Game Four (should it come to that) and use Chris Archer in the bullpen, or if they’ll ask Hellickson to serve as a reliever instead.  As for Gimenez, he was seldom used throughout September and did not appear in the Wild Card Game.

Per league rules, the Rays will have to play the series with the same 25 barring an injury. In case of injury, a team can replace a pitcher with a pitcher or a non-pitcher with a non-pitcher, but the injured player will then be ineligible the next round.
