Tampa Bay Rays First Quarter Team & Player Performance | The Process Report

Tampa Bay Rays First Quarter Team & Player Performance

After 40 games the Tampa Bay Rays sit atop the American League East with a record of 25-15. That’s essentially the first quarter in the books, which makes this a fine time to take a peek under the hood at what my model thinks of their performance. By record and run differential they’re amongst the league elites, which seems to be mostly backed up here when looking at the team figures. After looking over that stuff you will find seasonal summaries for each of the players as well as the team totals and what the average team looks like to give some context. Lastly, and the bulk of this report, you will find player-specific charts for everyone that has played more than a handful of time for the club this year. Players with more than 50 PA/TBF will get full coverage, while you will find the player’s spray chart for those with less that that threshold.

If you have followed my work the format for the images below should not be new to you, but as always, if you have any questions or want to discuss any of this stuff then drop me a line @sandykazmir. Most of it is pretty self-explanatory, though I think a fine reference for who has done what and how that has gone. As always, thank you for reading!
